Conversing With Cata Gilbert

This work was inspired by the ambiguity between the desire for the adult world during childhood and the experience of society as a grown up. The jewelry itself does not belong to childhood, it represents the values and social perspectives of adults. Today, children play with objects imitating adult ones and they appear as a beautiful fantasy. On the contrary, in the adult world, certain fruits and vegetables are endowed with cryptic meanings. We use their innocent appearance as an intimate code. As a young mother, it is difficult to bring the theme of sex education to a child. A blunt explanation risks traumatizing them. But if we ignore the subject, children are at risk of being hurt by society.
