Artist Statement

My inspiration comes from Georgia O'Keeffe and her monumental flowers, often linked to female anatomy. Radical for her time, she transformed the flower from a decorative motif into a symbol of inner strength and autonomy, challenging ideas of fragility. Through this symbolism, I explore the connection between female strength and sensitivity. Sensitivity is not weakness but a capacity for deep perception and awareness. Strength is not only endurance; it is also stability and transformation. Female nature, through its cycles, reveals a rhythmic and circular power. Their balance is essential: without sensitivity, strength becomes harsh; without strength, sensitivity remains unprotected. Together they create a mature, quiet, yet undeniable presence.
