Artist Statement

Inspired by Prelude à l'après-midi d'un Faune by Claude Debussy, this text serves as the creative inspiration for Eugenia Ferousi. A woman is enchanted by the melody of a flute and gently follows it into her secret garden, moving in harmony with the flowing rhythm of nature. Surrounded by sunlight, leaves, and a colourful polyphony of life, she senses she is approaching what she seeks. When their gazes finally meet, a silent breath of connection passes between them. Flowers seem to fly, the summer breeze awakens the world, and the lovers join hands. Guided by music and nature, they begin an ethereal journey together toward a dreamlike space between earth and sky.
