Artist Statement

Connection with the self is achieved only when we accept the coexistence of our inner strength (metal) and our personal fragility (paper-eggshell). However, to connect with your existence—with yourself—you must first break. The journey is painful. Fragility is not weakness, but a part of existence. The wax does not cover the scars; instead, it surrounds them with the safety of an embrace, allowing our fragile nature to stand with dignity in the light.
