Artist Statement

Elli Xippa’s practice is driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a constant openness to discovery. Her work carries the energy of someone who continuously questions, explores, and searches for new ways of making, often testing unexpected uses of tools and materials.Through her pieces, she speaks about hardship and hope, fear and creativity, uncertainty and transformation. Movement — physical, emotional, and intellectual — is central to her process and way of being.  For her god is not only in the details but everywhere.And inspiration can emerge from anything: an everyday object, a potato, or even a mistake that unexpectedly reveals a new possibility. Elli creates bold and expressive forms that carry a strong emotional presence. Her works feel alive, shaped as much by intuition and play as by experimentation and reflection.
