Artist Statement

Aggeliki Madi approaches her practice with the structural clarity of an architect and the sensitivity of an intuitive maker. Each work begins with a precise idea, unfolding through carefully considered stages that guide it toward its final form. Her experience in Nigeria, where she immersed in a different cultural and material environment, continues to inform her perception of space, rhythm, and human connection. That is why her work moves fluidly between scales and qualities, balancing archetypal structures with more impressionistic gestures. Through processes of accumulation — of coloured layers, lines, and modular elements — she builds compositions that are both measured and deeply tactile.
