ART COLLECTOR
Nicos Chr. Pattichis
As a child he painted, built constructions, made stage sets for school events, wrote the songs for the French class shows, and even arranged the choreographies. Later he became an architect, and later still a publisher with the Phileleftheros Media Group, founded in 1955 by his grandfather Nicos Chr. Pattichis. He is also a collector and patron of the arts in Cyprus—and of course he continues to make architectural designs. Nicos Pattichis is an aesthete but also a simple man, generous yet remote. Passionate about art, in recent years he has become a patron of Cypriot artists from both sides of the island.
Within the framework of the JELO6 Project Cyprus 2025, Nicos Chr. Pattichis selected four artists from his private collection and curated their works for inclusion in the main exhibition held at the Old Town Hall of Nicosia: Gaetano Pesce, Maria Perendou, Martine Bedin, and Lucio Bubacco
