Artist Statement
With the works presented here, she wants to focus on art as a personal expression of conflicting elements. Works of art that form a harmony between two very different disciplines: ceramics and jewelry. A ceramic, created using very humble materials like earth and water, joins a jewel created by noble materials such as silver or semi-precious stones. A ceramic pot, a symbol of usefulness for both rich and poor, joins the symbol of ornament. They influence each other: a pot can become brilliant, covered with gold; a jewel can be created by simple materials from nature.
Curriculum Vitae
She completed her fine art studies in Belgium. As a multiple-discipline artist, her work spans installations, graphic design, paintings, sculpture, jewelry design, and ceramics. She has participated in group and solo exhibitions in several European countries, in galleries as well as art fairs. She served as curator for “Parcours d'artistes” in Brussels, overseeing 30 monumental works, and for the international exhibition "Jewel as Ornament-Ornament as Jewel" shown in Belgium, Switzerland, and Hungary. After running her personal gallery "Temposcopie" in Belgium, she now works in Greece.
