JEWELRY

Artist Statement

The Quiet Contract is a body of work shaped by unease—anxiety held inside the gesture. Through porcelain rings, she explores how acts of care, adornment, and ritual can also function as structures of discipline, silently shaping who is allowed to choose, who is permitted to speak, move, and belong. Porcelain becomes both material and metaphor: precious, luminous, pure, fragile—yet capable of being sealed into permanence through fire. These rings turn her attention to what often remains invisible: the subtle boundaries between invitation and obligation, intimate surrender and control, touch and ownership. Some pieces are wearable, others resist the body and provoke discomfort, insisting that fragility can be a form of knowledge rather than weakness.
