Artist Statement

Punch’s collection visualises her deep sense of home and belonging in the face of change. Each piece is an ode to her grandparents’ house in Thailand, where the artist recollects totems that inform the visual identity of her work. She evokes materials that she associates with her grandmother and grandfather: coins intertwined with wood and stones transform into objects with a powerful resonance of heritage, retelling the narrative of a chapter of her life.
