UNIVERSUS AWARD @ AUTOR FAIR 2024

Artist Statement

The inspiration for the Live Like a Summer Flower series comes from a dear friend of mine who is bravely battling breast cancer. Her journey through cancer has deeply moved me: even a fleeting life should strive to blossom like a summer flower. I created plaster sculptures modelled on cancer survivors, and using gold and their shed hair, I fashioned them into golden flowers, symbolising courage and resilience.
